et Lab

The Educational Technology Lab or ET Lab is a part of the School of Education at Virginia Tech. ET Lab helps the trainees with any of his/her technology needs related to teaching, research, and discovery. ET lab is well equipped with electronic devices to use in a classroom setting for teaching and learning. ET lab provides state-of-the-art technology facilities and services to the trainees and faculty members of College of Education.  ET lab assists the trainees and faculty members in the use of instructional technology tools and also integration of these tools in all phases of their teaching and learning process.
About the Centre

The Educational Technology Resource Centre (ETRC) of Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s College of Education, Barshi is a dedicated facility for promoting the effective use of educational technology in the teaching–learning process. The Centre provides student-teachers and teachers with opportunities to develop, use and evaluate various audio-visual, digital and multimedia-based teaching resources.

The Centre aims to prepare future teachers to become technology-enabled, innovative and effective educators capable of responding to the changing needs of 21st-century education.

Objectives:

1. To develop an understanding of the resources required for an effective instructional system.
2. To develop competencies in the management and effective use of multimedia resources in  
teaching and learning.
3. To understand the role of the Educational Technology teacher as an agent of educational  
change.
4. To promote the application of scientific methods in teaching and learning.
5. To train student-teachers in the preparation and effective use of different audio-visual aids.
6. To organize workshops and training programmes for the development and use of educational
software and digital learning resources.
